How to get 100-200 hits from Yahoo
Free Classifieds, Over & Over Again.

FREE classified ads can bring you hits.
Here's a few tips to get your share of
Yahoo's 12 Million Visitors Per Day.
Yahoo free classified ads run for 60 days, however
they will only generate hits from your ad for 24 hours.
Here's how to change that:
First:
Review the section you want your ad under. If
you are going to advertise under the business section,
you will be presented with 2 sets of Sub Categories.
The first one has 12 sections in it. You can post
10 ads at Yahoo, so choose 10 of the 12 sections,
for maximum exposure placing one ad in each section.
The second set of Sub Categories is used only for
searches. Pick the one that fits your business the
best.
Second:
Write out your 10 ads and save them to a file
so you can quickly go back and simply cut and paste
your ads into the forms.
When you write out your ads, make sure you change your
headline and wording slightly to match each of the
sections you have chosen. For example, under Business
Opportunities, make your ad and headline sound like a
business opportunity. Under Services, make your ad and
headline sound like a service. This determines whether
or not Yahoo will accept all your ads.
Third:
Follow the schedule I use below. Yahoo has
a two day delay on posting ads. On the third day
your ad goes up and stays on top for a few hours.
Then your ad begins to drop down to a lower position
to make room for new ads.
The schedule below will allow you to maximize the
hits you receive from your Ad on a REGULAR Basis.
1. Go to :http://www.yahoo.com
2. Click on the Classifieds Link
3. Create an account
4. Click on Submit Ad
5. Place your 10 ads
6. Wait three days.
7. On the third day go back to Yahoo and repeat
1 & 2 above. ONLY 1 & 2
8. Click on EDIT ADS.
9. Click on DELETE ALL
10. Click on Submit Ad
11. Place your 10 ads
Wait another 3 days and repeat.
When you write your ads out ahead of time and save
them in a file on your computer, you can quickly
replace your ads every three days.
I consistently receive between 100 to 300 hits
from my Yahoo ads by following this schedule.
Not bad for FREE promotion.

loose traffic to sites that might pay me.

to cut and paste the responses I send to folks regarding this newsletter. It has
been especially tough since Microsoft's clipboard is so limited. Some one should
fix that problem, right? Someone has. Get the free download of a plug-in
called
CopyText, http://www.soft.net.uk/jazz/products/copytext31.htm
Once you have
it ready, you can keep up to 10 words or phrases (up to 16k) available for easy
access. An icon stays in the tasktray ready for when you need to click on it. A left
click brings up the main screen. A right click then brings up your word/phrase list.
Select and paste. Definitely a keeper, and it is offered as freeware, so the price
is just what I like - - free. Go get it before they figure out they should charge
for
this helpful program.

Remember Chicken Little? Hit in the head with an acorn or something, he
was certain "the sky is falling, the sky is falling." It wasn't. He
was completely
wrong. He was convinced, and fooled a few others, but he was still wrong.
Sometime folks on the net tend to run in packs like sheep or like lemmings to
the edge of disaster. Just because many people are doing "it" does not
mean
you have to do "it" too. You mother was right when she said, "If all
your
friends want to jump off a cliff, you DO NOT have to jump with them."
Why am I reminded of that this week?
AOL GOES MUTI-LEVEL!!!!!! (Repeat for emphasis here if you wish.)
Excuse me while I yawn.
So the 800 pound gorilla wants to eat up all the online connection money
expected to be added by the millions of new surfers? OK, Mr. G would
appreciate that philosophy.
OK. So here come thousands of new users who will need to have online
service and AOL is an established name and they may get up to half of the
new accounts and if you know as few as three people going online, and they
know as few as three...Lots of money could be made. Right?
But wait. Let us think about this for a minute.
What can you do that millions of new computers already loaded AOL
and millions more CDs delivered by mail can not do? I have so many
AOL offers with the free Zillion hour trial period on CDs I cannot use them
all as coasters. I liked the old days when the pitch came on a disk that I
at least could reuse for my personal projects.
So AOL is multi-level, but this may not be for you.
The basic cost is about $20, but you can only sell AOL and you are paid
for only the first three levels. For about $80 bucks more you can add
Direct TV and IBM hardware to you list of products. But, if you really
want to make money, you need to spend $500 which gets you an affiliate
template (not available for public viewing).
So for $20 you can talk to everyone who is not already using AOL who you
used to sell Amway products, if they are still talking to you. Or for $500
you can have a website that is only available online which means your "market"
is already using some online service, which means they are not shopping for
one, which means very few sales if I have this figured out. The potential new
signups will not see your really cool website until it is too late. What part of
the market is left? The folks who had AOL at one time and hate it, or the
ones who were warned away from it by people who fall into the first category.
Guard your inbox. I was hit with six emails just this week. Expect many
more as the "lemming effect" takes hold. Just don't expect me to play
along.
I do not care if there are only 500 in this ground floor opportunity, and why
am I hearing from people who I have never had contact with in the past?
Of course this is solely my personal opinion. I could be wrong. I didn't
buy
Ebay, Dell, or even Microsoft in the beginning either. AOL, IBM and Direct
TV all have respectable products and this could be really, really big.
You should decide for yourself. This opportunity just doesn't feel right to me.
I am guessing that the only folks who really will make any money on this
deal are the ones who are in at the beginning. No. Not the first
representatives.
The first people to decide to sell this idea to whomever will buy into the
concept at $20, $99 or $500 a pop.
That started me thinking... "Coca-Cola goes multi-level!!! Coca-Cola goes
multi-level!! Do you have $500 for my cool affiliate webpage to sell this

Mixed Bag::
This week we have added several things to the old website. Perhaps
our best move was to add the free FFA service provided by SES.
Sometime ago, I complained that I could not find a FFA CGI script
that would do what I wanted and let me keep a few hairs on my head
following installation. I asked for suggestions, but none worked out.
There is a HUGE FFA operation that still carries my plea for help in
installing their script on their discussion board. I waited, I never
heard a thing. But then I am just one drop in this Internet ocean,
so I guess I understand.
I have used the MegaBanners link program, which is free, with some success.
But I wanted more than just something for free. Folks like leaving their links
behind, and I wanted to offer this service, but like anyone, I wanted more.
Anyway, I was playing with my other favorite toy, the Leading Edge
classifieds (now over 117 sites display my banners), admiring my
banner click-throughs and displays, and thinking warm thoughts
about all the exposure and return traffic I am getting. More details
about this are at the end of this newsletter. Anyway, reading one
of the classified ads, I saw several listings for this new FFA service.
I popped over to their home page. Lo and behold, there it was.
A shiny little FFA page service that I had never heard of called SES.
As I read the home page, it seemed to offer most of what I wanted.
Customizable auto-response for each link posted. I choose my
banner for display. I get the six main categories expected. It holds
50 links per category which is plenty. And I did NOT have to
touch a line of CGI. I love it.
SEES offers a free version (and/or a trial period) or a paid option. Either
choice was better that what I had found so far, and the paid service
at $15/month was about $50 more reasonable than I had seen
offered by "established" FFA organizations.
So, I have a nearly empty Free For All links page, and you have
at least one link you would like to leave behind. Drop by. See

anything you would like to sell in multiples with the help of a few 100 or

provide the kind of support online affiliates expect. Affiliates come to

including an order form for whatever you want to sell.... If you have
a product (not Coca-Cola, I call dibs on that idea) you owe it to
yourself and your potential affiliates to look at Rick's great offer.
In response to a recent subscriber email request. I found one of the
E-books we give away to new subscribers. Seems I did what the
majority of us do. I assumed everyone uses the kind of computer
equipment that I do (IBM-clone). Mac users take heart. We have
recreated the "Search Engine Secrets" book completely online. A link

The Art Of Duplication Is The Key To
Online Success

Anyone can be successful marketing on the Internet. It's as
simple as discovering what works for you, not quitting, and
duplicating the things that bring you success.
Internet marketing success is a lot like launching a rocket into
space. 99% of the work is in getting off the launch pad, once
launched you can ride the momentum to the stars.
When McDonald's started it was just one burger stand. As the
McDonald brothers tried several ways of marketing the
burgers, they eventually came up with a plan to be the best
burger stand the local area. They accomplished it by taking a
chance and trying something new and original for the time.
They made the first DRIVE-IN burger stand, the rest is history.
They didn't have to go looking for people to sell franchises to,
people found them. Most of the time & work was in learning
how to make that first store profitable. When you create your
first success people will be attracted to you like moths to a
flame
The internet isn't really any different. No one can tell you how to
make that first sale. I can tell you what works for us, but
because everyone has different skill sets and experiences,
what works for me is not necessarily going to work for you.
The hardest sale to make is the first one, after that each sale
gets easier because you build on that first success as you gain
experience and momentum . Don't expect to earn 6 figures the
first year or two. You are responsible for your results.
Your first home business goal should be to make $300 profit.
The next goal is $300 a month then $300 a day. You can use
any number you want.
Unfortunately most people quit, or more specifically they never
get started. That's why they invented jobs, it's the both a *safe*
alternate, and valuable backup source of income during your
transition. to self employment.
You can't fail unless you quit, the important thing to remember
is * NEVER QUIT* success is the direct result of productive
time and effort, well spent.
I can't tell you everything you should *do* to launch your
business, I can tell you what is working for others or what is
working for me. Everyone is blessed with their own special
talents. The key is to through scientific experimentation, to find
& duplicate what ever works for you. Once you earn that first
sale, continue your experimentation, just make smaller
changes in your marketing plan. Over time you will continue
revising your business plan based on your success. Success
is achieved through many small steps revised continually over
a period of time.
The reason we publish this newsletter is to share the things
that are working for the experts. If you want to be like them, do
what they do and see if it works for you.
The average person will fail several times before launching a
business successfully. The difference between successful
people and unsuccessful people is that successful people
keep on trying. It's really just that simple. All it takes is to
duplicate your success. Here Are A Few Internet Marketing
Guidelines We Have Found Useful.
1) Choose a product that sells for under $50. If it's a business
opportunity don't spend a lot up front. In fact - Don't spend too
much money period. You usually can't buy success, the
business should help pay for itself very quickly.
2) People go to the Internet for free Information. Offer them
useful information for free. This builds trust and helps establish
your expertise. Everyone is an expert at something.
3) Create a dialogue with people you can help and people who
can help you. The Internet can be impersonal - you must
establish a relationship with your niche market.
4) Use your email. It's your most valuable marketing tool - Find
an information need then to fill it. I'm not talking about SPAM,
that doesn't work. You *communicate* with people to establish
and build on a relationship.
5) Develop regular e-mailings both personal and for your
business. Share information with others.
6) Develop your Own success story. Facts tell and stories sell.
Once you make that first sale tell your story to others within
your sphere of influence. People will be attracted to your
success and will want to do what you do.
7) Duplicate the success of others, If you want what they have
in your life then do what they do.
8) Develop some of your own ideas. Take chances, You won't
always have success but the more things you try the more
things will actually work.
9) Make goals - Do what you say you will do.
10) PLAN - plan what you want and you'll get what you plan
