Explode your sales with the ultimate weapon:
Time Sensitive Offers

Some of you may know of the power of time sensitive offers.
There is a huge controversy brewing on certain parts of the
internet regarding the use of these offers, but I will tell
you that used appropriately, they are one of the most
powerful lead and sales generating tools ever invented.

Setting up a time sensitive offer means contacting a list
of prospects and offering them something special that will
only be available for a limited time. It could be a special
price, it could be special bonuses, or even receiving
something for free; the catch is that you will have to
order by X date in order to receive these special deals.

I have seen this kind of offer create overwhelming response
that does not seem to happen with regular sales material.
Why does this happen? I believe that the majority of people
who are interested in your sales material will often not
act immediately because you have not given them an
incentive to act immediately.

Let's face it we all have busy lives, other
responsibilities, and often we forget that something
interests us or we say: Oh yes that will still be available
next week or next month or even next year, there is no need
to act today! These are the customers you will most likely
lose and you have to do something to change that. If you do
you will see an increase in sales that you would not
imagine is possible. What is the change you should
implement in order to experience this growth? Time
Sensitive Offers.

Have you ever seen one day sales at major department stores
and the crowds that they draw in? This is the power of the
time sensitive offer. The people who plan these sales know
exactly what they are doing. They draw in the crowds with a
time sensitive offer and then they close the deal. This is
what your website should emulate. This is what will bring
in more sales than your sales offers that do not extend a
time deadline. This is an example of how you could put this
into effect:

On your website you sell three things: a book on baseball
for 39.95 a report on similar subject matter for 19.95 and
a set of videos for 99.95. Make a package that for 72 hours
only (give a deadline and stick to it) if people order the
video package, you will throw in either the book, the
report or both.  You will see your sales increase
dramatically with this approach. Here is how it could be
done even better.

Offer this deal, let your prospects know that this offer is
available but only if they collect a coupon and present it
at the time of sale. This is not a print coupon like you
would find in a supermarket, this is an electronic coupon
that prospects must enter their names and email addresses
in order to claim. If they don't order immediately, don't
fret, you can then use their email address to send them
follow up reminders until the 72 hour period has expired or
they ask you to stop (I always advocate smart opt-in email
never unsolicited email). A great example of this
"electronic" coupon can be seen at J.Nicholas Schmidt's
Profitstream site, stop by and take a look at his

This is the correct way to use a time sensitive offer.
Put together a package, make a deadline, offer an
electronic coupon and follow-up until the deadline. As I
mentioned earlier some people are and have always used the
time sensitive offer as a marketing ploy. They use a
deadline that always changes, the same offer is available 2
days or 3 weeks after it was supposed to expire. This is
unethical and will cause you to lose sales. But, if you use
time sensitive offers appropriately, you will see your
sales soar.

Promote Your Site with Press Releases (Part II)

In Part I we talked about the kind of information that will go into a
successful press release.  To review, we need to put ourselves into
the shoes of the editors who will receive your press release.  They are
desperate for interesting, informative, useful, funny, human interest,
money-saving, money-making, time conserving, problem solving
stories.  If you could bundle all those elements into one release, you
might be talking to Katie or Matt on the Today show the following
day.  It is not likely that you can have all those elements, but you
should attempt to find at least one.

So, what does a press release look like?

They generally take the following form:

Give 'em a BIG headline:

EX: Webmasters Find Targeted Traffic Leads to More Sales.

A big part of your acceptance/rejection comes from the headline.  It
must capture the attention of the reader and offer information about
why the reader should go any further.  Tell you reader information
that answer to the "Who cares?" question.

Next, give a fact-based sub-headline that expands on the headline.

EX: Simple Change to Web Page Increases Traffic

The sub-heading must bridge the gap between headline and story.

Next, remember that all media people want to know quickly the
answers to the four Ws: who, when , where and why.  After the
headline and sub-headline, it is time to deliver the information you
promised in above. 

EX: Chris Kilian, webmaster for Stealth Promotions, is bringing
hundreds of new visitors to fellow webmasters' web sites - for free.
With the addition of simple cut & paste HTML code, visitors to web
pages can now use his "Suggest This Site" service to invite others
to the page with the code installed.

You must start with the most compelling facts and information first. 
Do not use a joke delivery style where the importance of your
"story" is hidden until the punch-line. 

Take the opposite approach. Use a five-year old delivery method.
Ever notice that a five-year old does not tell you that it has been
5 hours since you feed them something, and that they are growing,
and that the early years of child development depend in part on good
nutrition, and so on?  They use a verbal press release style, "I'M
HUNGRY!  FEED ME.  FEED ME NOW!"

Next, you should include a quote from a high-level officer of your
organization, if possible. This should crystallize your unique selling
proposition that makes your product/service stand out.

EX: "Building traffic to web sites is increasingly difficult.  We find
that our  service is adding visitors to home pages, as well as
commercial web sites, and we know they like the price.  When
a friend tells you to go somewhere, you go.  That is the power
behind what we offer," said Chris Kilian.

Next, if you can, you should offer information from a neutral third
party that bolsters, or strengthens, the sales message you are trying
to deliver.  Use this as evidence that your product addresses a
vital need of your target audience.

EX:  Barney, the Dinosaur (could say, did not say, but could have
said), "I love it when my friends invite me places, and I guess
it is the same way online too."

Next, tell the press release reader how to get your product/service. 
Tell them where to find it.  How to buy it?  How much it costs?
Tell them whatever they need to know to get your product/service.

EX: The "Suggest This Site" service is available to anyone who sends
an email to: mailto:suggest@stealthpromotions.com OR you can just

Lastly, give them your contact information, (in case Matt or Katie do
want to talk to you and need to ask your availability.)

webmaster@stealthpromotions.com OR call them at 1-512-330-0404.

Follow this formula.  Let one or more people read/critique your work.
Then, send it out and wait for your results.

Still waiting for the new computer.  I look forward to telling you
what I think about it.

Got a note with a bit of concern from a very bright online marketer
this week in connection with my mentions of the AllAdvantage deal.

Covert Marketing

You're spoiling your marketing by being a sheep!  Don't
run with the flock, strike out and be different to pull
in those sales!

As an Internet marketer you'll know the benefits of ezine
advertising.  You can reach a highly targeted audience
for a low cost, with no risk of being labeled as a
spammer.  How would you like to maximize your ezine ads
to bring you even more traffic and business?

Traditional Marketing
-----------------------------

There are two problems with using the name, URL and
company literature from your opportunity in your ezine
ads.

1. The advertisements that you are placing will be very
similar, if not exact to everyone else who is marketing
your opportunity on the Internet.  If you receive an
advantageous position in an ezine you could still benefit,
notice I said could.  It's human nature to disregard
something that isn't unique.  If you saw three or four
advertisements using virtually the same copy and URL
you'd probably wonder how you'd be able to market that
opportunity with all of the competition.  If you don't
think you can succeed, you won't even take the first step
to look at the opportunity.

2. You suffer from other people's mistakes!  Your
potential client could have reviewed your opportunity
from another source.  This source may have provided poor
support or not explained the benefits of your opportunity. 
This leaves your potential client with a negative view of
that opportunity.  Never mind how good your ad is they
won't click on your URL because they've already reviewed
your opportunity and made their minds up!

Covert Marketing
------------------------

This isn't a military operation, but it is a skill. 

The aim is to get the message across about your opportunity
without giving away the opportunities name or using any
known slogans or tag lines.  You can achieve this by using
a two level entry system.  Your ezine ad is your first level;
your second level is a Web page you create to pitch the
opportunity.  At the very end of this page you add a link
to your opportunity page. 

The first thing to do is sit down and think why you joined
your opportunity, what are it's benefits and what can you
offer to help people to succeed.  Once you have a list you
can begin to create your copy.  The secret here is to be
original.  Create copy that entices, copy that makes the
reader want to know more without you telling them what
your opportunity is.

Follow up your first level of covert marketing with the
second strike on your Web site.  This can be more click
pulling sales pitch making your prospect eager to visit the
site where they can find out about your fantastic opportunity.
Alternatively the URL can be a lead in page that
automatically whisks your prospect off to the site you want
them to visit.

You can also add a text description and a manual CLICK
HERE for older browsers that won't be able to interpret the

I've received a 70% increase in interest using this method
because it allows you to generate interest in the opportunity,
instead of just saying, "Hey here's a great opportunity."
