I am not sure it helped you as much as me, and I want to
keep this content helpful and useful to you folks.
*I continue to be VERY impressed with the new tracking
system I told you about recently. I have been experimenting
with the service offered at http://www.roibot.com/w.cgi?R258_ROIbot
WOW. Each time I decide to do an ad campaign, I just go
to the site, create the hidden link, and go plug it in
where I would normally have my redirection URL and BANG
I get instant, up to the second information on the hits
to that link, anytime of day. There is a free trial
period for this service, but I know I am going past the
trial period and will soon be able to remove loads of
redirection pages from my site, using this service in
its place.
*I ALSO like the ego satisfaction I get from this service.
How? Well, everyday I get feedback about how well my little
links are doing in comparison to others. How? Well, first
the service tells me, if I have a link up in the top 100 of
all links being tracked. (I do - in fact several). Then, if
I allow myself a moment of vanity I can go see exactly where
my little links rate among the others. (One of them is in
the #2 place among them all, if I do say so myself.) You can

The ratings are based on actual clicks each day, and the service
knows if the click is a new person or a repeat visitor.
Not all my links are up there. I have some clunkers too, but
that is OK. The service even tells me if my link only gets
one click a day. Who would think getting this kind of feedback
on a daily basis would be so much fun?
*I guess I know the secret to getting thousands of affiliates
in record time. Pay for them. This past week, two new services
launched, payme.com and dotbank.com. Both offered (for a
limited time) to pay both the referring person and the new
member to join. Both had a finite amount of money to spend.
Both closed up the referral payment system almost as quickly
as it began because they hit their targets. One did it in hours.
The other in days. I barely had time to put links online before
it was time to pull them. The lesson is how QUICKLY good offers
can spread across this big ol' thing we call the net. But simply
buying attention is NOT the only way to get your product noticed.
Keep that in mind when you see a really good offer later from

*I would like to hear your comments on this service. I know
some of you are using it too. I hope you are finding it as
hard to do without as I am because that means you are saving
time and gaining insight into your promotion efforts.

set up in Canada, and a real offline government (at least one)
has you in their sites for your pyramid scheme. Good riddance.
Do you get a fair amount of traffic? Maybe, you are getting
thousands of hits each day but your visitors are leaving empty
handed. If this sounds like your website, you could be a Browse
and Run Victim! With little or no sales, you know what it
means. You risk losing everything you have invested and for some
that can be a lot. You can fix that browse and run problem with
just a few sales making strategies.
Most people believe they have a really great website and
sometimes, they have every imaginable bell and whistle. Some
people have what they feel are very professional looking sites.
When visitors arrive, they begin telling them all about their
company in great detail. These sites can be very business
looking but with sales at a trickle. Then there are some people
who are real pros at getting great search engine rankings. They
may bring visitors in by the thousands but they are still unable
to make those needed sales.
Do you feel that you are a Browse and Run Victim? It is so
frustrating when you can almost hear the clicks as your visitors
leave only moments after arriving. It leaves a person wondering
why sales are so low and that's what we need to take a good
hard look at. To help solve this problem, let's examine the
visitor and the site where sales are no problem!
People generally arrive at a site with the aid of a search
engine, some form of advertising or maybe a signature file.
The person who buys, has immediately found what they came for.
From the time they arrived, benefits of the product or service
filled the air, pumping their desire to buy. More minor
benefits with a call to action of..... 'buy now' filled the
visitors head.
A link to a company information page gave the visitor some
background and contact information. With added confidence,
security and the desire to buy built in since arrival, the
visitor heads for the order page. Here the visitor found many
secure ordering options, making the purchase quick and simple...
and happily, after making the purchase, the buyer surfs on.
Within a few minutes, this buyer receives a confirmation email
giving assurance that the purchase would arrive shortly or
giving download instructions.
Have you ever clicked on a link for a particular item and found
a maze? Sometimes, you never find the actual item that was
advertised and this is a real mistake. If you are advertising
High Flying Golf Balls, take me straight to that page. Hit me
with a powerful headline then pour out the benefits. Continue
pouring out those benefits until you make me want to go out and
hit those balls right now! Now, if I am interested, I will
click on a link and check out your company. Don't tell me all
about your company from the moment I arrive.... that's not what
I came for! Tell me about what I came for and there is a much
better chance that I will buy from you!
It may take a little more work to make content rich pages for
various products and services but the benefits are great. They
make great doorway pages that can give excellent search engine
rankings.... plus your visitors can go straight to what they
came for! Remember that these have to be sales pages. This
means that you have to have them filled with professional sales
material.
If this isn't part of your expertise, you have a choice to make.
Either you learn to write hard hitting sales material or you
need to hire a professional! If you have to, make a few changes
to your website. Let your ads direct your visitors right to
what they want to find and if you will make sure there is hard
hitting sales copy on these pages, you won't have to worry
about being a Browse and Run Victim anymore.

Surfing for pay this week:
If you have tried to log on to the AllAdvantage site yesterday
you are probably wondering what is wrong. Actually nothing.
For next two days or so, the site will be somewhat down as
end of the month processes take place. Your viewbar may not
work and the ability of referrals to get signed up will be
affected. That should be squared away shortly. I personally
had another banner month. In fact, I have had an improved
payout since my first check. I expect that trend to continue
and I continue to recommend that you join and build your own
money machine. I know that some say that is "not possible"
anymore...Bunk. If that were true, I would not continue to
see more members in my group. If I can grow a group, so can
you, and there is still plenty of room for all of us.
I saw terrific growth this past week in my little RadioFreeCash
group. I have been promoting them during the same time because
I still really really like the concept, and there is currently
no competition for them, and the payrate for even minimal
participation by members should be worthwhile. How hard can it
be to listen to music while online and get paid? I am still a
bit concerned about their delivery, but am told that the WinAmp
version is MUCH better than the RealAudio choice. We will see.
Ignifuge (finally) released information on their payout rates.
The rate fell for personal visits from 26 cents for every 10
visits to 15. Referral income stayed relatively stable. I am
pleased with that. Even though I made less for my own time,
keeping the money for referrals level encourages "builders" to
continue to grow their organizations. They did install a pop
up banner with some downloads that are free for you and I and
will pay them a fee. However, they also placed a link in the
window which let me close the pop up window for good.
mValue is showing off two dramatic improvements this week. The
first is a new software package for the ad-serving software.
Now a new light shows up to tell you when you are earning money
vs just earning points. That helped me a great deal over the
last few days because I could see when I was clocking surf time.
The other great improvement was a reworking of the member stats
page. Not only can you see your own hours, you can also see
your downline member count and hours surfed. The information
is organized a bit like GetPaid4. This is a bit improvement.
Elsewhere, there is now word that some of the BIG contest
winners ($10,000 prize levels) have been told by mValue that
are in fact winners. I hope that means steady progress as they
move into the $1000 prize winner level. That is where I expect
to be found, but we will see.
New to me this week? Several programs have been added. Nothing
really got me too excited, but I know you guys check the page
now and then to keep up, so I had to list them.

Q. Why do I need a company name when I'm just working from
home? (Susan A.)
A. To be considered professional, even home workers need a
company name if they are in business for themselves. You do
want to be taken seriously, don't you? If so, you'll need
to register a business name.
The registration I'm referring to is often called a "DBA"
(Doing Business As), a "Registered Alias" or an "Assumed
Name Statement" in most States of the USA. I'm sure that
agencies are provided for this purpose in countries outside
the USA.
Corporations are registered when they are formed. However,
a company name needs to be registered even if it's a sole
proprietorship, i.e., individually owned and unincorporated.
Do you think that working on the Internet is exempt? It
isn't!
Actually, I'm not even referring to the legal aspects of
owning a business. It's a simple matter of your degree of
professionalism. If you are taking money from people to
provide a product or service - you are a business!
Without a business name registration, a bank won't give you
a business bank account. What? You don't need a business
bank account? Are you going to send refunds with your
personal checks? Are you the same person who doesn't want
customers to know where you're located?
Are you in business, or not? Get your business registered
and get a business bank account.
Q. I join affiliate programs in order to be paid commissions on
the products I promote. Do I really need a business name?

A. Well, that depends. Technically, you are a broker for the
companies providing the products. You may choose to set up
a company for that.
However, if your chosen affiliate program companies take
complete care of the customer after the sale, there may be
no reason for anyone to contact you. You may simply be an
independent contractor - which doesn't necessarily require a
company name.
Bear in mind though that the moment you begin publishing an
ezine or newsletter to promote those products - if you sell
advertising - you have now become a full-fledged business.
Get a business name!
Yes, a business bank account will cost a few bucks more than
a personal account. But if you can't make that, you're
already belly-up.
